Our Policies

Version 2026-10-20-rental-policies-v4 · Trial rollout

These policies are here so everyone knows what to expect. We're proud of them, and we'd rather you read them now than be surprised later.

For everything you rent by the hour

What we take care of

• The production studio or recording booth, and the system that runs it.

• Recording. In a production studio, Go starts the programme output and requests recording together. Check for the recording confirmation. In the recording booth, use the recording control and wait for confirmation. Keep your recording device's page open until saving and uploads have finished.

• Technical monitoring tools and preparation support. Our executive producer keeps an eye on the technical side for an agreed event booking. Monitoring coverage varies by booth; we confirm the arrangements in orientation.

• Your orientation and training before you start.

What you take care of

• Your own equipment: cameras, phones, microphones, headphones, audio interfaces, projectors, screens and anything else you plug in.

• Power, batteries and charging.

• Mobile and Wi-Fi coverage where you are.

• Your venue's permission to record, and letting your guests know they're being recorded.

• Your own team: who you invite, and how they use their codes.

Things outside our control We can't be responsible for anything outside our system, even when it's connected to it or affects it. That includes power outages, poor mobile or Wi-Fi coverage, cameras or phones that don't connect, dead batteries, and audio gear, projectors or other equipment that doesn't work.

How we know what happened Our production logs record reported connections, drops, control actions and recording states. They help us investigate when something went wrong, but they do not always establish its cause. A recording indicator is not proof that a file has uploaded or plays correctly.

If the problem was ours If our system lets you down, we'll make it right: a credit for the time that was affected, and you keep everything.

Codes and access

• Your codes belong to your booking and can be changed or switched off at any time.

• Please share them only with the people you've chosen.

• Your orientation includes guides and training resources. We'll explain how to access them before your booking.

People and privacy

• We use on-air names only, and we never name the people who send tips.

• Children are welcome to be heard or to work behind the lens, but they're never shown in anything we publish.

Production Studio rental (Studio A and Studio B)

Rates

• Each production studio is $75 CAD an hour, any time it's in use. Two studios are $75 + $75.

• Every booking includes a required one-hour orientation with our executive producer: $150 CAD ($75 studio + $75 executive producer).

• Post-production help, for example when moments were missed in the switching, is $200 CAD an hour.

Orientation Orientation is scheduled before your event, never during it. Bring as many of your team as you like. We provide your team with guides and training resources before the event.

Your team runs the day On the day, your own team runs the show: a producer for each studio, plus your floor manager and camera people. Our executive producer keeps an eye on the technical side while it happens.

Codes and invitations Your team gets their codes when you book. The day before your event, the couple or host gets fresh codes and invitations to send to their own team, so only the people they've chosen can take part.

Your event form and timesheet Together we fill in your event form and timesheet, and everyone involved gets a copy: floor manager, DJ, the couple or host, camera people and producer.

Before doors open Your floor manager checks that every camera connects, the sound arrives and the venue connection holds, and we note it on your timesheet. We also suggest every camera phone saves a backup on the phone itself.

If it didn't go the way you'd hoped Didn't go the way you'd hoped? You have two good options. Keep everything you recorded, and we'll help where we can. Or choose a refund of your studio rental instead. Your recordings come with the studio rental, so they go with it. Either way, the images your people uploaded are yours, and we'll happily send them as a zip file.

Please tell us at the end of your event, before your recordings are delivered. Once they've been delivered, your booking is complete.

A refund of studio rental does not include orientation or executive-producer time already provided.

Your recordings We make the programme files successfully saved and uploaded by your studio available through a private download link. Recordings may arrive in separate parts; download every part and check playback. No fixed delivery time is promised. How the show was switched, and everything around it, is in your team's hands. If a supplied file won't open or play, let us know so we can investigate and provide another copy where available. Missing material cannot be recreated.

Recording Booth rental

Before you record Do the sound check and watch the four short videos first: headphones, the sweet spot, gain and the VU meter. They make the biggest difference to how you sound.

Your sound How you sound depends a lot on your microphone, headphones, room and connection. The sound check helps you get the best from what you have.

If it didn't go the way you'd hoped Not happy with how it sounded? Keep your recording, or choose a refund of your booth time instead. Your recording comes with the booth time, so it goes with the refund. Please tell us at the end of your session, before your recording is delivered.

Solo Broadcaster

Solo follows Our Broadcast Rules and on-air etiquette, and the time limits in the Solo tour: up to five minutes on air, a one-hour pause after the full five minutes or a third drop, and codes that can be switched off at any time.
